Love welcomed me

Into a warm little house

Narrow hallway

And your mother hugged me close

I saw you stare at me

Black T-Shirt

Your grandmother turns to you

Then admires me

Don’t you think she was right

Intercepting our sight

Letting you know

That she knows

Were bound to be one

One day

I missed you

While you sat in front of me

If my foot brushed against yours

You’d flick it away in an instant

But why

Why’d you have to make me cry

As I was leaving

You never saw the tears I held back

And you never will

Dinner and a 4 course meal

Couldn’t make me forget your everlasting steal

Of my heart

My life

Although you weren’t doing anything at all

I sat on your couch

You were gone for so long

I tried to check on you

But you dodged each call

I don’t know what went through your head

But when you came back you wanted me dead

And sat on the other end

I wasn’t even worthy enough

To look at from afar

Your mother told you to stop

I asked if we could talk

But you didn’t listen to me

Me or anyone

I missed you

While you sat in front of me

Was I meant to yell

Or apologize

But why

Why’d you have to make me cry

As I was leaving

You never saw the tears I held back

And you never will

Stood in the doorway as I left

Your mother hugged me

But you couldn’t seem to shift

Longing for my absence

As quick as you could

Oh you won’t understand

When I saw your waving hand

How I felt praying

That you’d come hug me instead

I missed you

While you sat in front of me

You never cared

About the heart you were bound to break

But why

Why’d you have to make me cry

As I was leaving

You never saw the tears I held back

And you never will

You’ll never feel the brush of my foot again

I’ll never sit on your couch

Ever ever again

The warm little house

Bid me the iciest farewell

And hate sent me off
